DUBAI – The NH Collection Dubai Ibn Battuta has officially opened its doors, marking a new chapter for one of Dubai’s established city hotels.

The 396-room property follows a significant phased transformation of the former Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel Dubai, introducing refreshed accommodation, redesigned public spaces and an expanded line-up of dining, leisure and social experiences. Located beside Ibn Battuta Mall, the hotel is positioned within easy reach of Dubai’s business, leisure and entertainment destinations.

The opening adds another property to NH Collection’s growing UAE portfolio, following NH Collection Dubai The Palm. Further NH Collection openings are planned in Ras Al Khaimah.

Refreshed stays

NH Collection Dubai Ibn Battuta features 396 rooms and suites across Collection, Superior and Premium categories, alongside Junior, Family and Terrace Pool Suites.

Selected two-bedroom configurations provide added flexibility for families and longer stays, while Club Rooms and suites include access to the Executive Lounge. The Terrace Pool Suites add private outdoor spaces and temperature-controlled pools.

The property is designed to cater to a broad mix of guests, including leisure and family travellers, business guests and the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment.

Dining spotlight

Food and beverage form a major part of the hotel's refreshed offering, with Benihana bringing its internationally recognised Japanese teppanyaki concept to the property. The restaurant features chefs preparing dishes live at the table, combining dining with theatrical presentation.

Two newer concepts, Taste and Nomad, add further variety. Taste operates as a contemporary all-day dining venue drawing inspiration from culinary traditions around the world, while Nomad offers speciality coffee and wholesome bites in a relaxed setting intended for meeting, working or recharging.

They complement existing venues including Skyline Pool Bar, McGettigan’s and Rodeo Drive, an American-inspired restaurant and entertainment venue serving Tex-Mex flavours alongside live music.

Leisure and events

Guests can access a rooftop swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, beauty salon and Kids Club, adding dedicated spaces for wellness, relaxation and family activities.

The hotel also retains its meetings and events facilities, anchored by 871 square metres of meeting space. Flexible meeting and breakout areas support conferences, corporate gatherings, celebrations and private occasions.

Akram Al Ameer, General Manager of NH Collection Dubai Ibn Battuta, said the rebranding follows an investment programme focused on contemporary design, quality, personalised service and the overall guest experience.

He added that the NH Collection positioning is intended to strengthen the property's appeal across leisure, corporate, group and MICE segments while building on the strengths of its established location.
